Abstract
In an effort to overcome public apathy to free child restraint checks in local communities a program was developed to take an authorised restraint fitter to local playgroups and child care facilities. Community networks and NSW Health played a key role in the diffusion of the process throughout the community. During the development of the program is was found that Council Day Care program carers are required to have yearly restraint checks by an RTA authorised fitter.
