ISO 39001: A New Tool for Safe Systems

The International Standards Organisation Road Traffic Safety Management Systems Standard (ISO 39001), which is scheduled to be published in early 2012, will be a voluntary tool for all organisations to help them embed the Safe Systems approach to road safety into their every day operations. Organisations adopting ISO 39001 will demonstrate their commitment to the long term elimination of death and serious injury in the road transport system through the use of familiar management and delivery systems.
